Project leader at Philips Research and competitive hang glider pilot dedicated to advance worldwide healthcare. In multiple ways I can identify with the one-liner 'Dare to live, innovate in healthcare!' My aspiration is to lift our healthcare to the next level of excellence as future chief innovation officer. To continue on my career path in this direction, I am looking for new experiences that enhance my business and marketing knowledge and further strengthen my leadership skills, preferably on an international level.

Project Leader at Philips
2011.01 - today
As project leader within Philips Research, I mediate between stakeholders towards a business vision, translate this into a concordant R&D vision and define the R&D project goals. The two main subjects I worked on are: 'circulating tumor cells' and 'cervical cancer screening', which hold both interesting opportunities for Philips Digital Pathology.
2007.08 - 2010.12
In Philips Applied Technologies I have grown into the position of project leader, where I had the responsibility over different healthcare projects with team sizes up to 8 people. As part of the exclusive young-talent program within Philips Applied Technologies, Philips invested in consolidating my leadership and entrepreneurial skills.
2006.07 - 2007.06
I entered Philips as a contractor via USG Innotiv, who stationed me in the job of thermal and (micro)fluidics R&D engineer at Philips Applied Technologies. Here, I contributed to the development of prototypes of mainly medical devices.
